Skybit Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 23, 2026

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the Skybit application, website, and related Services when you install, access, browse, or otherwise interact with Skybit.

The Services may include links to third-party websites, applications, or services. Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies. This policy does not apply to information that third parties collect independently, except where Skybit is acting as a controller, business, or equivalent entity for that information.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent, we will request it through an appropriate notice or consent mechanism.

2. Information We Collect

Skybit processes information needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services. The information involved depends on how you use the features of the application.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Support information: information you provide when you contact Skybit, such as your email address and the content of your message.
  • Feature information: information you voluntarily enter into a feature or submit while using the Services, where processing that information is necessary to provide that feature.
  • Preferences: settings and choices you make in the application.

2.2 Technical information

When you use the Services, we may process limited technical information needed for operation and security, such as app version, operating system, device type, language, crash reports, error logs, and basic usage events. We use this information to keep the Services reliable, diagnose problems, and improve performance.

2.3 Communications

If you contact Skybit, we may retain the communication and related information so that we can respond to you, provide support, and maintain support records.

Skybit does not ask users to submit sensitive information for ordinary use of the Services. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you unless expressly described in a separate notice and permitted by law.

3. Sources of Information

We receive information from the following sources:

  1. From you when you use a feature or contact Skybit.
  2. From your device and operating system when required for the Services to function.
  3. From service providers that help us operate, secure, and support the Services.

We may combine information from these sources to keep records accurate, personalize the Services, prevent misuse, understand product performance, and communicate with you.

4. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes, subject to applicable law and your choices:

  • To provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services and their features.
  • To process information submitted through a feature at your direction.
  • To respond to support requests and send important service communications.
  • To understand usage patterns, measure performance, conduct research, and develop new products.
  • To detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to security incidents, misuse, and illegal activity.
  • To enforce our terms, agreements, policies, and other legal rights.
  • To comply with court orders, legal processes, regulatory requirements, and valid governmental requests.
  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • To evaluate or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
  • To create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, and to use that information for lawful business purposes.
  • To carry out any other purpose disclosed at the time information is collected or authorized by you.

We do not use your content for a materially different purpose without providing an appropriate notice or obtaining consent where required. We may use automated systems to organize, filter, recommend, moderate, or protect the Services. Where a feature uses automated processing, the applicable product description or in-product notice may provide additional information.

6. How We Share Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  1. Service providers. We share information with vendors that provide hosting, technical operations, analytics, customer support, communications, and security services. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to us and under appropriate contractual or legal controls.
  2. Your instructions. We share information when you ask us to or use a feature designed to share information.
  3. Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the rights or safety of users or others, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect the security and integrity of the Services.
  4. Corporate transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale, or similar transaction. We will use reasonable measures to protect information during the transaction.
  5. With your consent. We may disclose information for another purpose with your consent or at your direction.

Any disclosure of information is limited to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or presented to you when you use a particular feature.

7. Advertising and Analytics

Skybit may use analytics services to understand how people use the Services, diagnose errors, measure campaigns, and improve functionality. These services may receive device information, identifiers, events, approximate location, and other usage information. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies as well as our contractual arrangements.

If Skybit displays advertisements, advertising partners may receive limited identifiers, contextual information, or technical information needed to deliver, measure, limit, and prevent fraudulent advertising. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential advertising technologies. You may be able to control advertising through your device settings, browser settings, app-store settings, or our in-product controls.

Skybit may measure whether a message was opened or a link was selected. You can unsubscribe from promotional communications using the link in the message or by contacting us. Service and transactional messages may continue because they are necessary to operate your account.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Web versions of the Services may use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, tags, and similar technologies. These technologies may remember settings, maintain sessions, measure performance, protect against abuse, understand usage, and support advertising.

Some technologies are strictly necessary for the Services to function. Others are optional and may be controlled through a consent banner, account setting, browser setting, or device setting. Disabling optional technologies may not affect core functionality. Disabling necessary technologies may prevent login, payment, security checks, or other features from working.

Browsers and operating systems may provide “Do Not Track,” global privacy control, or similar signals. We will honor such signals when required by applicable law and when technically feasible. A signal may apply only to the browser or device that sends it.

9. Device Permissions

The mobile application may request access to device functions such as notifications, camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts, Bluetooth, precise location, calendar, or motion sensors. We request permission only when a feature requires it or when permitted by the platform rules.

You can grant, refuse, or later change permissions in your device settings. If you refuse a permission, a related feature may not operate. Permission settings are managed by your device operating system, and the exact names or locations of settings may vary by device.

Skybit does not access the camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, or precise location merely because the application is installed. Access occurs when you grant permission and use a feature that requires it, subject to platform behavior and any separate in-product notice.

10. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, comply with law, and protect our rights.

Retention periods vary by the type and sensitivity of information, the reason it was collected, whether an account remains active, whether you request deletion, and whether legal or operational obligations require continued retention. Account content may remain available while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion to allow recovery, backups to expire, or legal obligations to be satisfied.

When information is no longer required, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it from ordinary use. Backup copies may persist for a limited period under normal backup and disaster-recovery schedules.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, and unauthorized access. Safeguards may include access controls, encryption in transit, security monitoring, authentication controls, network protections, vendor reviews, backups, and incident-response procedures.

No transmission or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your password, using a unique password, keeping your device secure, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. We will notify affected users and authorities when required by applicable law.

Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, authentication codes, or other confidential information through an unrequested support message. Skybit will not ask for your complete password or one-time authentication code.

12. International Data Transfers

Skybit and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data-protection rules different from your own. We take steps required by applicable law to provide appropriate protection for international transfers.

Depending on the circumstances, transfer safeguards may include an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, an approved certification mechanism, contractual protections, consent, or another legally recognized transfer mechanism. You may contact us for more information about the safeguards applicable to a particular transfer, subject to lawful limitations.

13. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access: request information about the personal information we process and obtain a copy where required.
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: request deletion of information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Restriction: request that we limit processing in specified circumstances.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, direct marketing, or other grounds recognized by law.
  • Portability: request a structured, commonly used, machine-readable copy of certain information or ask us to transmit it to another provider where technically feasible.
  • Consent withdrawal: withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt-out: opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, profiling, or certain marketing activities where applicable.
  • Appeal or complaint: appeal our decision on a privacy request or contact a data-protection authority.

You may update applicable information directly in the Services. For other requests, contact us at privacy@skybit.pics.

To protect privacy and security, we may verify your identity before completing a request. Verification may involve confirming access to an account, email address, device, or other information already associated with you. We will not use verification information for an unrelated purpose. You may use an authorized agent where allowed by law; we may require proof of authorization and identity.

We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law. If we need more time, we will explain why and, where required, provide the expected response date. We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right, except where a difference is reasonably related to the value of a service or permitted by law.

Some requests may be denied or limited where an exception applies, including where disclosure would reveal another person’s information, compromise security, prevent us from providing a service, conflict with law, or interfere with legal claims. If we deny a request, we will explain the reason and any available appeal process where required.

Marketing choices

You may unsubscribe from promotional email by selecting the unsubscribe link in the message. You may also contact us to opt out of marketing communications. It may take a reasonable period to process a request, and you may still receive non-promotional service messages.

Account deletion

Where available, you may request account deletion from the Services. Deleting an account may remove access to content, subscriptions, history, preferences, and other information. We may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, financial records, dispute resolution, or another lawful purpose.

14. California Privacy Notice

This section applies to California residents to the extent required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, and related regulations. It supplements the rest of this policy.

The categories of information and the purposes of processing are described in the “Information We Collect” and “How We Use Information” sections of this Privacy Policy.

California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and avoid unlawful discrimination for exercising rights.

To submit a request, email privacy@skybit.pics or use the privacy request mechanism made available in the Services.

We will verify requests using information reasonably necessary to confirm identity. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted. California residents may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision or emailing the privacy address above with the word “Appeal” in the subject line.

15. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under applicable data-protection law as described in the “Your Privacy Rights and Choices” section. Skybit is the controller responsible for your information unless a different controller is identified when you use a particular service.

You may complain to the supervisory authority in the country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. A list of European supervisory authorities is available through the European Data Protection Board, and UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

For privacy questions relating to the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, contact Skybit at privacy@skybit.pics. Skybit will provide any additional representative or data-protection officer contact details where required by applicable law.

16. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for users who meet the minimum age required by the law where they live. If you have a concern about a child’s use of the Services, contact us at privacy@skybit.pics.

Where a product is intentionally designed for children or families, we will provide a separate notice describing the applicable age range, parental-consent process, collection practices, parental rights, and deletion procedures. Do not publish this general section as a substitute for a legally required child-directed service notice.

17. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain integrations, links, plug-ins, software libraries, payment tools, advertising tools, or content provided by third parties. A third party may collect information directly from you or receive information through the integration you enable. Skybit does not control the privacy practices, security, or content of third parties.

Before connecting an account or following an external link, review the third party’s privacy policy and terms. If you disconnect an integration, the third party may retain information it previously received according to its own policies. To request deletion from a third party, contact that third party directly unless Skybit is the controller for the relevant information.

18. User Content and Shared Spaces

Skybit may allow you to create shared spaces, profiles, comments, public pages, invitations, or other collaborative features. Information you intentionally make public or share with another user may be copied, downloaded, forwarded, indexed, or retained by recipients. Consider the audience before publishing content.

Workspace administrators may be able to access, export, manage, or delete information associated with a workspace. If you use Skybit through an employer, school, team, or other organization, that organization may have access to activity and content under its account settings. Contact the administrator for questions about organizational access.

We may process user content to provide the functions you request, maintain service security, enforce our rules, respond to support requests, and comply with law. We do not claim ownership of your content solely because you use the Services. Your agreement with Skybit may address licenses and content rights separately.

19. Payments and Subscriptions

If you buy a subscription or other paid feature, payment may be processed by an app store, payment processor, or other financial service. Skybit may receive transaction identifiers, limited payment details, billing status, country, tax information, and receipt information. We use this information to activate services, prevent fraud, provide support, issue refunds, calculate taxes, and maintain financial records.

Payment providers may independently process payment information under their own privacy policies. Skybit does not need your full payment card number to provide ordinary customer support. Do not send complete card information through email or chat.

20. Research, Feedback, and Product Improvement

If you participate in research, testing, interviews, surveys, beta programs, or feedback activities, we may collect the information you provide and information about your participation. Participation is generally voluntary. A particular activity may include a separate consent form explaining recordings, compensation, confidentiality, or retention.

We may use feedback, suggestions, and aggregated findings to improve Skybit. We may remove direct identifiers from research results and use de-identified results for product, statistical, security, or business purposes where permitted by law.

21. Automated Processing and Recommendations

Some Skybit features may use automated processing to sort content, detect abuse, recommend features, personalize views, identify errors, or assist with tasks. The output of an automated feature may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. You should review important outputs before relying on them.

Where applicable law grants a right to object to or request human review of a significant automated decision, you may contact us using the details in this policy. We will assess the request under the law that applies to the relevant processing and feature.

22. Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may create statistics, reports, benchmarks, trends, and other information that does not reasonably identify an individual or household. We may use, disclose, and retain such information for any lawful purpose, including security, analytics, research, and product development. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by law or necessary to test the quality of the de-identification process.

23. Do Not Track and Preference Signals

Some browsers and devices transmit preference signals concerning tracking or targeted advertising. Our response depends on the type of signal, the Service, your account settings, and applicable law. A preference signal may not automatically apply to offline processing, information collected before the signal, or devices and browsers that do not transmit the signal.

24. Business Customers and Representatives

If you use Skybit as an employee, contractor, representative, or member of an organization, the organization may provide us with your information and direct our processing. In that context, Skybit may act as a service provider, processor, or contractor on behalf of the organization. The organization’s agreement with Skybit controls where it conflicts with this policy, subject to applicable law.

We may process business contact information such as name, work email, role, employer, professional profile, meeting details, and communications to manage accounts, provide support, conduct sales, administer contracts, and maintain business relationships.

25. Records, Compliance, and Legal Requests

We may create and retain records needed to demonstrate compliance, investigate incidents, respond to requests, administer disputes, perform audits, and protect the Services. We may disclose information to courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities, attorneys, auditors, insurers, and professional advisers when legally authorized or required.

We assess legal requests for scope and validity and disclose only information reasonably required, unless law prevents us from doing so. We may notify you of a request where legally permitted and where notice would not create a risk of harm or interfere with an investigation.

26. Privacy Governance

Skybit maintains privacy practices appropriate to the nature, scope, context, and purposes of processing. We may conduct risk assessments, vendor reviews, access reviews, training, incident exercises, and policy updates. Employees and contractors with access to personal information are expected to handle it only for authorized purposes.

If you discover a suspected privacy or security issue, contact us promptly using the address below. Include enough information for us to investigate, but do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information.

27. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, law, technology, or our practices. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and publish the revised policy. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the Services, by email, or by another legally required method.

Your continued use of the Services after the revised policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy, except where applicable law requires your consent. If you do not agree with an update, you may stop using the Services and request deletion of your account where available.
